I’ve been a Certified Personal Trainer for over eight years. I started in a corporate gym and over the years, built my knowledge and a wonderful clientele. I work with all ages and perform everything from sports conditioning to strength training, body fat reduction, mild rehabilitation and lifestyle training.

My passion is helping people. I’ve taught people many different things in my life like driving, riding motorcycles, how to fix things that are broken, and how to problem solve. Years ago I discovered that I was good at teaching and explaining things to others in a way that makes sense to them. Over the last decade I’ve been helping others live more active, healthier lives. I love my job. I get to teach people how to set goals, how to reach goals, and how to manage time. We only get one body and I want to teach people how to take care of it!

I grew up in Surrey and was very fortunate that my family were all big believers in exercise and physical activity.  As I got older, I put my athletic focus into field hockey and went on to play for the University of Guelph where I graduated with distinction from the Sociology Honours program. Career-wise, I knew I wanted to help people, but I wanted to remain active while doing so – desk work was not for me! At the encouragement of a friend, I took the BCRPA Personal Training certification and began working at a corporate gym in Burnaby, B.C. in 2015.

It was extremely rewarding meeting so many different people in the gym who were looking to overcome personal obstacles in order to live a healthier life. I even met my husband (a fellow trainer) there! I’ve worked with so many different body shapes and goals over the last 5 years and really believe that any change is possible with the right mindset. The part that I love most about being a trainer is turning “I can’t” into “I did”!
